the most importants items is a bottle of water and box of matches because you do need drunk and the matches is very important because the desert in the night is very freeezing to make a fire.

Because in the night the temperatures are below zero degree, so if you don´t keep warm yoursef , you would died in the first night by hypothermia.

From my point of view, the most useful items to survive in the desert are:
The first aid kit because if you become injured you can heal, the box of matches is really necessary for make fire, and also the mobile phone could be useful for call emergencies, however the battery could ran out.

From my point of wiev if I need to choose one of them to survive one day in a desert, I would take with my the box of matches.
Because a compass without a map is useless and a Swiss army knife it will not be usefull to protect yoursef of thers animals, like a snile.

If I were lost in the middle of the desert, the item that I would choose is the Swiss knife, because it is the only item that can kill the scorpions or wild animals that are in the desert, or isn’t it? Even with the Swiss knife you can cut cactus and drink the water that is inside of it. Besides, the compass wouldn’t help you as much as the Swiss knife does, because you can get even more lost than without the compass, and you can orient yourself with the sun. So in conclusion, the Swiss knife is the best item.

I believe that on the middle of a desert a box of matches would be useless, wouldn’t it? Since it is so warm there, I won’t need a fire. On the other side, we have the utility knife. I do think it would be useful to maybe, cut a cactus open and get the water it has inside to drink it, but in my opinion the compas is the most useful item, since with it I would have a chance to get out of the desert.

If I got lost in the desert, my first priority would be to find water, but none of these items could help me with this, could they? That’s why I would choose the compass, because even if it would not help me find water, at least I would be able to know where I’m going, and thus I would not get completely lost. Another useful item could be the box of matches, because the temperature can get really low at night, but you’ll need to find trees to make a fire. The most useless object however is the Swiss army knife, as there’s almost no animal life here, and no trees to cut, and no water life to fish.

I don’t think that the best item would be the compass because you don’t know how far is the nearest village, so maybe you would walk onto the sand without a destination or resources.

Being in a desert would be a complicated situation, so I’ll firstly get an own med kit to stay in a healthy condition and don’t get hurt, and a Swiss Army knife to hunt over wild animals or even use it as a self-defense item in dangerous encounters.

Sorry but I couldn’t agree less with you. I don’t know what are you supposed to do with that. In the desert you aren’t going to be in danger because an animal, so that weapon couldn’t help you because you aren’t going to hunt or cut anything, apart from your own finger or other thing if you lose your mind.

I think the compass maybe could be useful if I have a map, but in the desert this object is so stupid. And, if I have near a lake, I can open the compass and used the crystal for catch water.
For last, the least important object would be the box of matches because the weather is so hot and if I don’t have nothing for cook, I don’t need make fire. Also, this item is limited, so if I finished the box, I can’t used it more, is very useless.

If I had to choose one of the three items to survive in the middle of the desert, I would definitely choose the compass, because the best way to survive is to find the way back home. But if you want to get home, you must know in which direction to go, mustn’t you? So the compass will help you with it. Also, in an extreme situation, you can break the glass of the compass and use it as a knife.
And yes, I absolutely agree, all of the three objects could be very useful, but why did I choose the compass?
Well, the box of matches is only useful to make some fire, but in the desert, there may be some dry sticks, and with these sticks, you can easily make the fire.
And like I already mentioned before, you can use the compass glass as a knife so, the Swiss Army knife won’t be that essential to survive in a desert.

Although all the other items are still useful, I think the best item to carry when lost in a desert is a compass, without it, you could end up walking in circles.
On the other hand, the swiss knife still has lots of utilities, but the problem is that there aren’t many cactuses, trees or plants in most deserts to cut and extract their sup. Nor will you find fuel or wood to light up a fire with the box of matches, with the only exception being the deserts in central and northern America.
